Replacing an existing kitchen from scratch is not just a hassle but if your budget cannot go to it can be just too expensive but do not despair there is a way to create that new kitchen at a fraction of the cost. Insead of replacing cabinets keep your kitchen units and just replace the doors, drawer fronts, plinths and end panels to create the kitchen of your dreams.

We always advise customers to take their time going through the measuring process, take into account all the doors, drawer fronts, end panels, plinth, cornice and petmet to ensure that when your doors and accessories arrive the replacement process will be a smooth affair. If you cabinets have been installed for a while it is a good idea to check hinges to make sure they are still operating well, replacing hinges is simple and an upgrade to Blum soft close hinges can give your kitchen doors the feel of luxury.

TOP TIP: When you have measured all your doors check to see if any of your doors and drawer fronts are 1mm outside the standard sizes, for instance if your door width is 597mm and you can use a 596mm door this will reduce the cost of your kitchen doors, likewise with your drawer fronts. Try this out on the door calculators and see how much this could save.

All doors have the option to have doors pre-drilled for hinge holes, this will drastically reduce the time fitting your doors, you will need to measure from the top of the door to the centre of the hinge hole and relay this measurement to us if you intend to use existing hinge. Should you be looking to change your hinges as well it is recommnened to relocate the hinge holes so that when you come to fit new hinge plates the screws are not being placed into existing holes, this will ensure a secure fixing.
